Auburn University ornament is made of Alabama clay. AU ornament measures approximately 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" and eagle wing ornament measures approximately 2 1/4" x 4 1/4".
Each piece of work is formed by the artist, from Alabama clay, that is shaped into unique handmade art which is as varied as the clay it came from. Coloring of off-white and orange brown swirls distinguish each piece from the other.
These are the works of Karen Stewart, daughter of Carl Stephens, who originally founded Carl’s Clays.
Alabama clay for these beautiful pieces is taken from a creek bed in the Coosa River in Wetumpka, AL.
